This week I have been making a delightful trip around Dorset staying, first, with gluten-free beer expert Sue Cane who lives in the depths of Forestry Commission land above above Lyme Regis.
Not as bad as Bournemouth a few weeks ago but rather fuller than we fancied. So, the following morning we were up at 5.30 and headed down the hill: past the spiders’ webs glistening with early morning dew…
and alongside the Lim river…..
onto the seafront. By which time the clouds had gathered making the early morning swimmers look positively ethereal.
Out on the cob the light got positively spooky…
and then even more so. I suspect the change in tone may also have had something to do with my iPhone, but it does make it all look quite exciting….
And then the clouds went away and Lyme Regis harbour returned to normal – and we went off to eat a well-earned breakfast of haddock and eggs in an early morning sea-front café.
