A week or so ago, when I was just posting still images, Micki Rose asked why I was not making videos of my trips to the heath ‘so that we can go for a walk with you’? At the time I had not actually thought of being so daring – and then, when I thought I would give it a whirl, I decided that you needed ‘action movies’….
But as I was stomping across the heath this morning it occurred to me that actually Micki was probably right. You don’t necessarily need action – you just need to pretend that you are going for a walk across the heath! I’m afraid that when I decided this I was walking through a relatively open and therefore not that exciting bit of heath – but there were quite a lot of birds – and you can always stop it!
Anyhow, first of all, my anenome patch on the way down the path to the heath. And I think that everything was looking especially good this morning as it actually rained, if only briefly, so all the buds and blooms had had a bit of a wash.
(If you want to see the video you will need to click onto the blog, not read it in the email notification, as the email does not include the video.)
And then some buds just about to burst on this tree branch…
…and some ???? blossom in full flower…
I do depend on my readers to enlarge my horticultural knowledge here. I am also hoping that Tom Ogren in California, who, apart from being a the world’s foremost plant allergy expert, is a keen birder, is going to identify some of our birds for us…..
And now for your walk:
