Yes, there really was snow this morning! Only a few flakes but it definitely was snow – and it was certainly cold enough – with an east wind that would cut you in two. So this is a nice sunny picture of broom down by the tennis courts on balmy Thursday of last week.
Although the temperature did not improve much this afternoon, at least a crisp, indeed brilliant sun came out. So I ventured out, secateurs and saw in hand, to make another onslaught on my rampant ivy. Although, not knowing how long I may be coralled in the garden, unable either to dispose of my hackings or to acquire anything new to replace them, I am now rationing myself on how much I am allowed to hack each day! Anyhow, as you can see, I did a reasonable chunk this afternoon.
But to start off week two of lock down – let’s pop back to Sarah’s more mature garden and these amazing daffodils.
If anyone else has pictures of their garden – or their countryside – that they are up for sharing, I would love to post them.
